  Who we are:

 

The ACT Deafness Resource Centre is a community organisationproviding information, referral and advocacy services for the Hearing Impaired and those with chronic disorders of the ear.Further support is available to the broader ACT community.

   Technology & Deafness

Our aim is to sustain and extend DRC as a community organisation that serves people with a Hearing

impairement in the ACT and surrounding hinterland, in

   

ACTDRC                      order to mitigate the effects of their hearing loss.

 

  We Provide:

 

     * specialist information on hearing related issues and services
     * information brochures, videos and sign language dictionaries
     * a referral service to help clients access mainstream services
     * information, advice and sales of Listening & Communication Technology items.
     * support and advice on hearing aids, Cochlear Implants, Tinnitus, Meniere’s Disease
     * assessment, free loan of assistive listening devices for trial in the workplace or home
     * workplace ‘hearing’ assessment reports, workplace ‘hearing awareness training
     * hearing loop hire and sales – free assessment for your home, workplace or church.
