Funding

DRC is funded by Disability ACT on a 3 year revolving Service Funding Agreement.  In addition, DRC earns some funds by the hire of hearing loops for large events, presentation of Hearing Awareness Training workshops, the sale of assistive listening devices and hearing aid batteries.  In addition DRC receives a small amount of funding from donations, membership fees and via a gold coin entry fee into our Expos and Seniors Week events.  These additional funds enable DRC to extend its programs and printing costs and to purchase additional assistive listening devices for the support of the hearing impaired.

DRC is often successful in gaining financial support through the Annual Southern Cross Club Community Support Grant program and the Hellenic Club provides support during our Hearing Awareness Week Expo and we are very grateful for this support.

Membership

DRC is always looking to increase its membership and welcomes anyone who would like to join.  You don’t need a hearing loss to be a member.  Among other things, members enjoy a 5 percent discount on the purchase of hearing aid batteries and assistive listening devices.  Membership is not expensive
